New screens for blackjack and poker
- Drawn cards: the UI now draws its own cards to match the ones on the felt.
- Faces are ivory, with rank and suit in two corners and a big suit in the middle. Court cards add a gilt frame and a crown.
- Backs are crimson, with a gold lattice and a bone skull.
- Cards slide in as they're dealt and flip over when turned. The winning five glow gold.
- Chips are drawn too: a clickable chip rack, and bets and pots shown as little leaning stacks.
- Poker screen (The Boneyard Game):
- Top: the header, with the street, whose move it is and a draining clock. Under it, the board's five places fill as the flop, turn and river come, with the pot in chips.
- Left: a plate for everyone else at the table, showing chips, bet, last action and the dealer button. Their two cards show as backs, then turn over at the showdown. The player to act gets a gold edge and a clock.
- Bottom:
- your two cards, large, with your hand in words and your chance to win (worked out a few deals each frame);
- your seat: chips on the table, gold in the bank, dealt in or sitting out, top up, leave;
- your move: Fold / Check or Call / Bet or Raise, with a slider and Min, ½ Pot, Pot, All in. The keys are F, C and R.
- Result: a banner sweeps in: "You win 340", "Lady Ossia wins 120" or a split pot, with the hand that won.
- Starting poker is explicit: the skeletons never start without you.
- A Take a seat panel walks you through three steps: buy in, invite skeletons (or wait for friends), then Deal me in (Space).
- Then there's a short count to the first hand.
- Hands only run while at least one living player is dealt in.
- Sit out takes you out from the next hand, and the skeletons stop with you.
- Going broke sits you out until you buy in again.
- So does letting your clock run out twice in a row: you get a message, and Deal me in brings you back.
- Just watch hides the panel if you'd rather see a hand first.
- Blackjack screen (The Gravedigger's Table):
- Top: the dealer's hand with its total. The hole card stays face down, showing "shows 6", until it's turned.
- Left: the other players' stakes, cards, totals and results.
- Bottom:
- your hand, large, with a total badge (soft totals like "7 / 17", BUST, BLACKJACK);
- the chip rack: click a chip to bet it;
- your stake as chips;
- Deal (Space), then Hit / Stand / Double (H, S, D), each with a line explaining what it does.
- A banner gives the result: "Blackjack!", "You win 150", "Push", "Bust" or "The house wins", with the reason.
- Blackjack waits for you: there's no betting clock any more, and nothing is dealt until you press Deal. With others at the table, the first player to press Deal gives the rest 12 seconds to get their bets in.
- Messages: payouts and refusals show above your cards.
- Network protocol: 18. Poker seats gained "dealt in", and there are new sit in / sit out actions, so mixed versions can't play together.
