A female body
- Male or female: a new Body option, the first row on the creator's Appearance page. Existing characters stay male, and you can switch any character in the editor.
- The female body: "Female base mesh" by Drazen (CC BY-SA 4.0, see Credits).
- 1.70 m tall to the male's 1.76 m, narrower in the shoulders, wider in the hips.
- About 11,000 triangles, like the male body.
- How she was made:
- The source had no rig, so decimates her.
- It then morphs the male body (posed into her T-pose) onto her, slice by slice, to fit the male's 72-bone skeleton to her proportions.
- Each of her vertices takes the blended skin weights of the nearest male vertices.
- Every animation, attack, grip, finger curl, foot plant and first-person view works on her unchanged.
- Clothes: a band top with thin straps covering the bust, and short shorts, both in the chosen cloth colour. The skin shader draws them with smooth, stitched edges.
- Shared painting: her rest positions are stored in male-equivalent coordinates, so warpaint, scars, eyes and brows land on her face from the same patterns. Her brows are finer.
- Her hairstyles: pixie, bob, long, ponytail, twin braids, bun, wild. They use the same strand-card hair as v0.29.3: her head is mapped onto the male head, the hair grown there and mapped back.
- No beards: not in the editor (the row hides), not in random looks, not in saved looks.
- Random names: she gets her own list.
- Swapping bodies at runtime: swaps the body. The weapon, hitboxes, shields and anything else on the joints carry across, worn armour is refitted to the new body, and the hair regrows.
- A female character spawns straight into her body.
- Other players see you as you are; the body choice travels in the look code.
